Restaurant/places to eat in Hundred Stay Tokyo Shinjuku

Nice Motel, clean with friendly staff with the bonus of very good English. Comfortable rooms, although our room was due for a refurbishment, the wallpaper and cabinetry needs updating. Comfy beds but pillows were small with no support. It was nice to have fresh linen and water daily. The laundry is great to have, but the dryers were very slow which took some time to finish those arduous tasks. We had 3 adults, I would not recommend any more adults for the space of room. Ps. We were particularly lucky one morning and were able to see Mt Fuji from our window (14th floor, see pic).

We really appreciated the spaciousness of the room, as we were traveling with two teenagers and a lot of luggage. Everyone had their own bed and we were able to sprawl out without feeling claustrophobic. The property was immaculate from top to bottom and we didn't miss the daily housekeeping, as they provided fresh towels and waters daily which was such a nice touch. The service was top-notch and they were very helpful in sending our luggage to our next hotel in Kyoto. We also appreciated the close proximity to the subway station - less than 10 minute walk - and lively restaurants and convenience stores which we popped into every night to get snacks and coffee for the next day. You can't beat the value for this hotel and the amount of space you get for an awesome price (we got a really great deal on Booking.com). It's very difficult to find a reasonably priced hotel in Tokyo for a family without having to book 2 separate rooms, so it felt a bit like discovering a hidden gem. All in all, it was the perfect hotel for our family of 4 and I would certainly go back again if we are ever in Tokyo!

The room size was great for 6 people as it had a large living room, table, full kitchen, two toilets and a washer/dryer in the room. The location was great, as it was a few minute walk to the Okubo station, which is less crowded than Shinjuku station that was only one stop away. Appreciated the daily fresh towels and inclusion of new water bottles daily as well. Although we had a washer/dryer, we also used the additional laundry room in the basement, where they have 4 separate washer and dryer for guests to use for free, and they were relatively empty to use as opposed to other hotels where they were always in use. This was a great place to do laundry mid-trip. Despite being a 21 story building, the elevators were always empty because the hotel part is only the top 9 floors and the apartment dwellers on the bottom floors use a different entrance and elevator. Staff was helpful and friendly. There are two Family Marts, a 7/11 and drug store within a block of the hotel, but there is also a relatively large grocery store right next to the hotel, which made it very convenient to get food and drinks to eat inside your room. Since it was renovated in 2019, it has a more modern decor.

View (from property/room) in Hundred Stay Tokyo Shinjuku

From Shinjuku station, take the Chuo-Sobu line on platform 16. Okubo station is one stop away. When you get off at Okubo station, exit out of the north gate. Cross the street, take a left and the hotel is about 100m away. When you want to go back to Shinjuku, go to platform 2 in Okubo station. This place is conveniently located. The room (Jr. Suite) was spacious, included a washer and dryer (however, it took 5-6 hours to do one load), a refrigerator, an induction stove, pots, pans, utensils, cups, dish soap, and more! A supermarket is located on the ground floor and Dominos is there too! It’s also walking distance to Shin-Okubo Korea town, where we bough yummy street food. They have a luggage transfer feature and we were able to send all our luggage to the airport two days before our departure, so we didn’t have to travel with heavy luggages. Laundry took a long time, but we stuck a load in before we slept and it was dry by morning. We also stuck a load in before we left for the day and it was dry when we came back in the evening. If you really want to wash your clothes faster, there’s a laundry mat about 2 minutes away walking distance. Washing and drying two loads took us 45-50 minutes. It was great! We absolutely loved our stay here and would stay again in the future.

-The view, oh my gosh! We had a 20th floor room with a view straight to the Tokyo Skytree. It was breathtaking at night. I could have looked out the window for hours. -Fantastic location easy walking distance to Okubo and Shin-Okubo Stations -Reasonably spacious room with 6 comfy beds -Supermarket and several konbini within super easy walking distance -Just outside the front of the hotel you can see planes flying low overhead on their descent towards Haneda Airport (I personally love watching planes take off and land, so this was an unexpected plus for me!) -Washer / Dryer combo in the room - free to use

Lobby or reception in Hundred Stay Tokyo Shinjuku

A very simple hotel, but it has everything you need. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they sent the suitcases for us to the next hotel and answered all our questions. It is close to two train stations Okubo (the yellow line) and Shin-Okubo (the Yamanote line - green). Also very close by foot to Shinjuku. The room has a microwave, kettle and small refrigerator, as well as dishes and cutlery. In the shower there is shampoo, hair conditioner and soap. The lobby has free toothbrushes, bath sponges, face cream, and other small things if you forgot to bring them with you. On rainy days there provided umbrellas if you didn't have one.

The room was a decent size — plenty of space for two people to move around comfortably, and it even had a couch, which was a nice touch. Everything was clean, the room felt cosy, and the shower and toilet were spotless. Overall, our stay was really comfortable. The reception staff were super helpful, and we were able to leave our luggage there for the day before catching our next train, which made things so much easier. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk to the nearest train station, with a grocery store around the corner, and only about a 20-minute walk to Shinjuku CBD. Great location, great service — we’d definitely stay here again!

Lobby or reception in Hundred Stay Tokyo Shinjuku

Hundred Stay is very close to Okubu station and about a 15 minute walk to Shinjuku station. The room that we had, 2 bedroom looked out over an incredible view of the city for amazing sunsets with Mount Fuji in the background. Room was clean, stocked with necessary dishes and even though we did not have housekeeping daily, fresh towels and additional waters were brought daily. It is not a full service hotel with restaurant, bar, lobby area but it suited us well with the amenities we needed including a gym. Lots of dining options nearby or a short train away. It was a great location to explore Tokyo.

Facade/entrance in Hundred Stay Tokyo Shinjuku

Family room was great all beds were comfortable including the futon bed. Pillows were great and had space around a table to sit down at night. Kitchen was useable but food options outside everywhere including great fresh fruit and veg on the way to the train. Location was great very close to two train lines including the Yamamoto line which is a key line to access most tourist sites in Tokyo. Convenience stores next door and supermarket close by.

Location was great, easy access to Okubo station and we can also walk to Shinjuku or Kabukicho. Room size was good, and we liked the separated WC and Shower Room, with a Sink in the "powder room" in between. The room had an electric stove (which we didn't use) and utensils and plates for 3 persons. Ample sized fridge and coffee and tea making facilities. Appreciate the daily mineral water bottle for 3 persons.
